Floriana Lima is an American actress who is quickly establishing herself as one of the freshest-new faces on television. Lima can be seen in the second season of the hit CW superhero drama series, Supergirl. She plays Maggie Sawyer, a detective for the National City Police Department who takes a special interest in the cases involving aliens. Supergirl executive producer, Greg Berlanti is also an EP on Arrow, The Flash, and DC's Legends of Tomorrow. Lima also recurs on the new Fox series, Lethal Weapon, based on the hit movie franchise of the same name. She played Miranda Riggs in the pilot and the third episode. The show was recently picked up for an 18-episode freshman season and stars Damon Wayans and Clayne Crawford. Floriana also recently starred in the ABC political drama, The Family, opposite Oscar- nominee Joan Allen, executive produced by Jenna Bans (Grey's Anatomy, Scandal). Lima wrote, produced, and starred in an upcoming web comedy series called Girls Guide to LA. The premise is 4 girls living together in a house, and they all have different jobs (i.e. Personal assistant, junior publicist, actress, and a plastic surgeon's nurse) following their adventures through dating and work in Los Angeles. Previous credits include: series regular roles on NBC series Allegiance and the Fox series The Mob Doctor as well as notable guest starring appearances on Psych, Hawaii Five-0, In Plain Sight, and How I Met Your Mother. Floriana was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. She studied Communication at Ohio State University and thought she would go into investigative journalism. Post- graduation, she worked as a production assistant at NBC4 in Columbus, Ohio. It was there that she realized she wanted to switch gears to on-camera work. She moved to LA shortly after and started booking acting jobs. Some of Floriana's interests include cooking, fitness, fashion, and interior design. Lima currently resides in Los Angeles.
